I grew up at Muir Beach just North of the Golden Gate and in the Napa Valley where impressions of Northern California and my continued passion for riding are the foundation of my paintings. My time is spent traveling to the Coachella Valley in the Winter drawing inspiration from the Desert’s beautiful light and mountains. In Spring and Fall I attend the High Point Furniture Market in North Carolina and am surrounded by innovative design and the creativity of the home furnishing industry’s interior designers, trend setters and entrepreneurs. The rest of the year is spent in Petaluma, painting in my studio enjoying the San Francisco Bay Area.
Painting is a joyful experience and I want each piece to show expression, balance, light and depth.
I studied Fine Art at CCSF and Graphic Design at Platt College in San Francisco and became a furniture designer for a family furniture business. My furniture designs have been featured on HGTV and Extreme Makeover and my showroom has been shopped by Sherwin Williams to determine current color forecasts. In 2010 my interest in painting was renewed by holding art shows in our San Francisco Showroom; In 2012, we closed and I transitioned to full-time artist.
My art has been purchased by HGTV Secrets of a Stylist's show, the editors of Better Home and Gardens Magazine and is sold through galleries, designer showrooms, furniture stores, Neiman Marcus and the High Point Furniture Market.
